My ex and I broke up recently, things at first were sweet with a occasion argument here and there. But almost at the end of the relationship it was almost fights, we had a long talk and things were good like before. But then we got into a big argument where I decided to breakup with him. Obviously I miss him so much and still love him.

So while we were dating, I was told that way before me he had asked this girl out but she said no because she thought he was too religious. (We’re Christians him & I)

So now I come to find out that he asked the same girl out again. Basically telling her that he was single and still liked her & wanted to get with her. She said no because she thought we were still together and didn’t want problems.

My question is, can it be that the two whole years we were together he really still liked her? That while we were together he thought of her and not me. Can it be possible that he really loved me, that all those “I love you” were even true? Or am I over my head and overthinking?

I was told that he asked her way before me but then why would he text her after we broke up that he still liked her after two years and wanted to get with her ? Can it be that his so call love for me was a big lie?

I’m just so confused hurt and get numb at the thought of he not really loving me..that all those beautiful moments we had meant nothing to him.

P.s, if he means something, he was the one that started to talk to me, and after three times of him asking me out I finally said yes.
