My baby was born Feb. 12th. He weighs almost 16lbs. Is this normal?

My daughter was born Feb 9th weighing 5 lbs 10 oz and now weighs 15 lbs at 14 weeks. I laughed when I read how “most babies will double their birth weight by 6 months” in a baby book...shit mine will easily triple her birth weight by then lol.

Mines 14 lbs and was born 2/5. It depends on the baby and whether they are formula fed or breastmilk fed. I read that formula fed babies will weigh more. I think it also depends on genetics. I know a couple whose baby is 6 months and she is 18 lbs, but she isn't really fat. She's long though. According to the baby weight chart provided by Mama Natural, your baby is in a good range.
