38 weeks induced does it painful than normal?

Hi, I will be induced tomorrow at 38 weeks due to high blood pressure. I'm so nervous and afraid cause some say it's too painful than normal process and have risks. Anyone who already been through this, I am so thankful if you can share your experience.

Potocin can cause the contractions to be stronger and faster earlier. It’s all pretty painful, honestly. Are you getting an epidural?

I was induced on a Monday and didn’t give birth until Thursday but that’s because they were pushing for a c-section and I wasn’t having it. The pitocin if made my contractions super painful, and we ended up doing the foley ball method which wasn’t painful at all. So I guess it depends on how they induce you. But the epidural does wonders so I if you’re open to that I wouldn’t be too worried.

I’ve only had one baby, and I was induced with pitocin. When I got to the hospital contracting on my own, I was ok. I was able to walk and breathe through contractions. When I wasn’t making any progress, they started pitocin and it was like a bomb went off. My contractions went from 3-4 minutes apart to barely 60 seconds. They felt much stronger too. I wasn’t able to move, barely breathe, my nurse had to bring me oxygen. BUT. I asked for an epidural and that honestly made my experience so much better. I was able to enjoy the rest after the epidural actually. Don’t be afraid to ask for one the moment you feel you need to!!!

It's not more painful but it seems that way bc it brings on contractions hard quicker than the natural process. For me, I was induced with my oldest at 830 am at 38 weeks due to high blood pressure, I had no issues with it. I had her at 1259 so i labored for 4.5 hours.
