My LO is 5 weeks old. Last night I was changing her diaper and she vomited, then immediately choked on it. Stopped breathing and her startle reflex went spastic. I’ve never felt so helpless and panicked in my life!!!!! Thankfully by the time 911 got there 15 minutes, she was getting gasps intermittently and a few crying spells in to clear the rest out. It took about 30 agonizing minutes from choking to getting back to regular interval normal breathing again. I was so scared she was going to aspirate but thankfully her lungs were clear and she was okay. Even though the paramedics confirmed she was okay last night, I hadn’t slept since it happened. I refused to lay her down, she slept on my chest the rest of the night. I got mild panic attacks every time she spit up too 😩 I went to the doctor this morning for a double check just to put my mind at peace. The my LO’s doctor did a great job of calming me ❤️
