Help with anxiety attacks?

Question

Before getting pregnant I was taking Xanax for my anxiety attacks. My prescribing doctor told me to just take some children’s Benadryl instead of the Xanax once pregnant. 
Has anyone heard of this or done it?
I can feel myself going into an anxiety spell as I type this.

That’s interesting because the past two days I have taken a Benadryl to help me calm down to sleep (I also have anxiety and it has gotten so much worse during this pregnancy, I have 1.5 Xanax left of my last prescription and it is sometimes so tempting to take one). Benadryl seems to have worked for me! I didn’t realize it was recommended for anxiety.

I have had anxiety pre pregnancy and with all my pregnancies and i found lavender oil to be amazing for an upcoming attack i usualy dab some on my temples and back of my neck and then just do very deep breaths .
And aswell epsom salt baths with a dash of lavender oil works amazing . Epsom salts relax the muscles and tension . 😊 i do hope the anxiety goes away soon for u x

I suffer from severe anxiety as well and benadryl is useless! Honestly I'm mostly just a mess during pregnancy. My husband is really the only thing that can kind of calm me down. I'm sorry I don't have better advice. Anxiety is absolutely terrible. I might look into CBD bath bombs to get me by on really bad nights.
