Brooke Windsor Allen 5/21
Born at 39 weeks 4 days. 8.6 lbs 22”. I was in labor for 24hrs and pushed for 3.5hrs. They ended up having to vacuum her out of my hoo ha!
We love her so much. Advice if you haven’t had your baby yet and are a FTM like me..
1. Eat before you get to the hospital
2. Have zero expectations of your delivery. I wanted a natural birth but was in so much pain from back labor I begged for the epidural.
3. Have support people come watch the baby while you and your partner sleep. It’s really difficult to split duties at the beginning if your first time parents.
4. If you have pets make sure you have an action plan for who will watch them. We had discussed hiding a key so neighbors could access our house but procrastinated! This created a lot of stress for my husband who had to keep going home to feed/walk the dogs.
