.5cm dilated 80% thinned?!

Question

Just got back from L&D because of contractions and they said my contractions are around 2/3mins apart. She checked twice and no dilation improvement at .5cm (a finger tip), cervix super high up and 80% thinned. 
Anyone have similar experiences? Or have any advice on how to jumpstart this? I was going to get a membrane sweep Friday but I’m not dilated enough yet..

I was a little more dilated. But i had contractions like that and they sent me home to labor until I got to 5 cm dilated. 
Sooo I walked ALl day and sat on a ball. By 5 i was dilated enough and they broke my water!
So start walking brisk walks, and sitting on a bounce ball!!

I went to my OB today and I’m 1.5cm dialated and 50% effaced. She stripped me and I’m just sitting here patiently waiting for baby to hopefully make her move 😩
