What medication do they give you for c section?

I’ve never taken pain medicine, aside from over the counter things like Tylenol. I’m afraid to take super strong meds with a new baby. What were you all prescribed and were you ok not taking it?

I was on Norco and Motrin for my last csection. I took it on the dot and had no issues with recovery. I was feeling great around 4 weeks pp.

Oxycodone and Advil and yes I needed them both

For my past 2 c-sections they prescribed me Tylenol #3
Idk about this time around because I moved to another county and I'll be having my baby in a different hospital then my other children

After my c-section i was given morphine for my pain. And after i was moving around they gave me hyrdocodene and ibuprofen but if Hydrocodone wasnt helping me i would get a little but of morphine to ease up. This is my 4th c-section and i know i will be hurting more then ever!

I was prescribed oxycodone and I never got it filled because I dont like talking meds.. but yes I just took tylenol if I was in pain.

They gave me ibuprofen for inflammation. Annnnd Hydrocodone I believe (99% sure it was that) 
& the pain is definitely hard unless you have a high pain tolerance. It didn’t make me sleepy at all.. so that’s 1 reason why I continued it. And definitely helped my pain.
