I’m planning on it but mostly because I don’t want to spend money on formula. That stuff is expensive! 😂 but I guess you never fully know if you will be able to or know how hard it is till experienced.

I had to exclusively pump for my first, it absolutely gutted me as I wanted to breastfeed so bad. I made it a year but told my husband I wouldn’t do it again. Second babe was a champ breastfeeder, and it showed me that breastfeeding is a two-way street and it wasn’t my fault it didn’t work the first time. This time around who knows what will happen, breastfeeding is hard and so rewarding.

Nope. My body doesn’t produce milk due to (what we assume it’s from) medical issues from when I was a child. With my son we didn’t realize how little I produced and he essentially starved the first 6 weeks.

I couldn't breastfeed my first as I was very young and back to school in 6 weeks or so. I'm excited to give breastfeeding a go now that I'll get 12-18 months off! I can't wait for the bonding!

Be prepared...its not easy. But in my area (canada) there are groups and special nursing nurses that you can go get help with. Position and being comfortable is key. I utilized the services available but I feel like it was around 3 mo before me and little got into our groove. And then it was great. Leave the house at the drop of a hat, no bottles, no fuss, milk on board. Also the bonding was incredible.
But fed is best, if you have to supplement will you two get the angel of it, that's ok. If it's just not for you, that's ok. If you dont supply enough and baby has to be formula fed, THAT'S OK TOO!

I didn’t breast feed with my first , my second I did and it was a night mare my boobs hurt all the time he stuck like glue to me he is always crying for boob even now at 1 years old I will not be doing it for my 3rd Lolol

I did with my first, and the first few weeks were hell - went to a support group and got help - but after that was awesome.  It is the BEST way to help get the pounds off, and I loved having the arrow in my quiver to feed or comfort her whenever it was needed.  Still breastfeeding at 13 months and will again with baby number two.

Absolutely, I breastfed both my children for the first year and I'll do the same for this baby. MWe had our first born when I was 21 and I was useless, but I grabbed her and put her on there, and I just winged it. Breastfeeding is a hard job, however the health benefits for mom and baby and baby are worth it. You pass all your antibodies to your baby, plus when baby gets bacteria or germs on their skin, those bacteria get on the mother from skin contact and the mothers body produces the antibodies, which are then passed to baby through the milk. My children never got sick, not one ear infection, and breastfeeding snapped my uterus and body back into shape fast. The benifits are endless and it's free! I never had to get up at night and make bottles, just rolled over and popped my boob in their mouth.
One tip, right after birth baby is very tired and won't need hardly any food for the first couple days. Baby may not latch immediately after birth bc it's traumatic to them. Also baby will fall asleep constantly after nursing for a couple minutes, don't worry thier eating enough. Just feed on demand for the first 6 weeks, and your body will produce exactly what baby needs. It's truly amazing.
