Obviously...if you’re seeing someone why have them? If I was dating someone and found dating apps still on his phone I’d seriously question his commitment to me.

On okcupid they have a pause option of sorts. It doesn't delete it, but you're not on it either. Just saves your info for if things don't work out. I like to keep it because my husband and I met through there so sometimes I like to get back on it and see our first convos.

You’re supposed to delete the dating apps because 1) you don’t need it anymore when you’re in a committed relationship and 2) if you still have it that means you don’t trust the relationship is going to last. in that case you should just break up with him anyway if you feel like that.

When my LDR bf and I first got together, I was still on Badoo but never met up with any of the guys that hit me up. In fact, I would tell him what the guys were saying to me. After I felt comfortable with the fact that he wasn't really going anywhere, I deleted it. It was probably 2 months after I got back from our first time meeting and making it official. Once you're sure about someone, it literally takes 2 seconds to delete your account and the app, so why not do it?

Before my husband and I even became “official” he deleted all of his dating apps and made it clear to everyone he was talking to someone. I never asked him to do this but it was just a respect thing: he didn’t want to talk to anyone else but me.

I mean ideally yes you do. But realistically? No. Why dont you? You just stop using the app really. You forget about it entirely. If its brought to your attention it's a simple "oh yeah lemme delete it" but to a lot of people that looks suspicious either way. So it all comes down to how much do you trust them?
