What's up with that?

So my husband and I were at an event and we took our 2 week old daughter with and I held her the majority of the time. We were chatting with his friends and then he asks to hold her. I am not even kidding not even after 2 minutes of him holding her did all these random ladies just come up to him and tell him how cute his baby is. And I'm just standing there next to him thinking " yeah thanks she looks just like me 😂, u know cuz I birthed her." Any way my question is why does this happen?
