Wow unexpected UPDATE
So I had my tubes tied almost 3 years ago and ever since I’ve not had a “normal” period. I can go months and not have one, I can have a normal one or I can bleed for a month straight. Well I’ve not had a period since Nov 28th 2018. Over the weekend we went on vacation to an amusement park, I rode the roller coaster, water ride, etc. Well that was Saturday, on Sunday we took our daughter to the aquarium and I started bleeding, ugh great way to end a vacation right? Didn’t think to much of it though, just went and grabbed some tampons out of the machine in the bathroom and went about my day. Well we got home last night about 10pm and my stomach was cramping something awful so I just laid down and went straight to bed. Well I woke up this morning and go to change out of my pad and put a tampon in because I HATE pads they break me out but I get to freaked out to sleep in a tampon. So when I get to the bathroom I noticed there was no blood on my pad just some slime green mucus so I immediately freak out thinking something is wrong I tore something while riding the rides or something ( I know green mucus has nothing to do with that I just had a mild panic attack) but I still made my husband rush me to the ER because my doctor isn’t open until Wednesday. So get there explain to them what’s going on, they decide I needed a pelvic exam. Ok that’s fine. Let’s do this. So bout 10 mins later the intern walks in and asks if it’s ok if she does the exam and I tell her sure why not. Got to learn some how. So she’s down there doin her thing and then all of a sudden I hear “oh umm i think I need the Dr” and she DARTS out of the room without saying a word. Ok so now I’m really freaking tf out. My husband waited in the car with our 2 year old so he didn’t take a chance on catching a germ in the ER. So I call him freaking out. Finally after about 20 mins the ER doctor comes in with a ultrasound machine. He first does a pelvic exam and then does an ultrasound and keeps the screen turned from me so I still have no idea wth is going on. Wanted to ask but couldn’t make words come out of my mouth (thank you anxiety/panic attack). So I’m just laying there quietly freaking out while he is looking at the screen and finally he says “ok ma’am well it looks like you’ve lost your mucus plug, and you may be having contractions is why you are cramping so bad we are going to send you up to L&D to be monitored. I looked at him and I’m sure my face was priceless and told him he must need glasses cuz my tubes are tied and I am most certainly not pregnant. He then proceeded to ask me if I was joking with him. I told him not that there was no way in hell I was pregnant. He just left the room. 30 mins later I was taken to L&D still not believing that I was pregnant. Once I got up there they hooked me up to the monitor to check for contractions kept me on it for about 30-40 mins and the the OB on call came in and did another ultrasound she checked my tubes and everything and showed me that I was indeed carrying a baby unknowingly. And have been for 7 months! I was in shock. I’ve had no reason to think I was pregnant. I’ve gained a few pounds but I just figured it was from leaving my job as a CNA to be a stay at home mom in October. I have had 0 other symptoms. After that I really freaked out because of how I spent my weekend. But everything looks fine and baby bean is healthy and currently weighs almost 2lbs. Going to be a big baby.
My husband is thrilled. We wanted more kids and were thinking about adoption. I only had my tubes tied due to having 5 c-sections, I was told I wouldn’t be able to have anymore safely. We have since moved and my new OB insured me that is not the case that she has performed 14 on one person before.
