Can your blood group stop or affect conceiving a baby?

Hi, I just wondered if anybody can help me. I was watching a programme recently where a woman had miscarried her child due to her blood type being “0”. I’d never heard of this before and has anybody had this before? 
I’m A Rh- and wondered if this is why I haven’t yet become pregnant after 1year and 4 months.

Blood type has nothing to do with fertility. If a woman is rH- and the father is rH+, there can be blood type incompatibility. A woman is fine with a first pregnancy, but she has to get rhogam shots to prevent herself from developing antibodies. Antibodies can develop after miscarriage and birth, so the shot is very important. If a woman does develop antibodies, there can be a lot of complications for pregnancy.

The only potential issue would be that as a Rh- blood type, of the father of the baby is Rh+, and you had a miscarriage, and the lost pregnancy had a Rh+ blood type... then your body would have produced antibodies that might attack future pregnancies.
If that isn’t the case, then I don’t think there should be an issue. I’m O- and have had absolutely no issues getting pregnant, and have fallen pregnant very quickly and easily both times.

I’m 24 and O-. Took 2 months to conceive. I am not sure if blood type really matters when you’re still young.

Women with blood type O is often less fertile than others, but only after 35years old.

Thanks all! I know I’m just being paranoid and trying to find reasons for not getting pregnant. My cycles have only just started getting regular again after being on the implant for 5 years. So, that’s also in the back of my mind that it could just be taking a long time for my body to get back to producing eggs more because I completely stopped for that whole 5 years.
