I’m having a mini panic! 3 years ago my town had 4 doctors surgeries. 18 months ago they closed two down for bad practise... all the patients joined the other surgeries in town and waiting for an appointment for months become the norm. Last night on Facebook there was rumour that our surgery has now closed....

A friend of mine rang the wife of one of the doctors and it’s true. It’s closed due to CQC failing it. Has this happened to anyone else? What on Earth do I do? That leaves one surgery for over 20,000 residents!!

Should I look into private? Will the NHS provide something in its place or is that wishful thinking??
