Hello UK ladies,

Sorry for the long post ....

My husband & I have been TTC for over 18 months with no success. I have really irregular periods and I can go months and months without having a period which of course raised alarm bells.

I went to see my GP who advised me to go for some bloods, ultrasound and and internal scan. When the results came back they showed I have pcos and low progesterone which suggests I’m not ovulating. My GP referee us to the fertility clinic on the NHS. At this point we was really hopeful everything was moving along quite fast. We waited 4 weeks for our hospital letter to come and when we called for the appointment the earlier date we got was 4 months away. We made the appointment anyway. We waited still tracking CM, BBT. BD every other day knowing it’ll take time so we didn’t want to miss our chance if we had it.

Appointment day came we was really positive we arrived on time checked in the lady told us to take a seat and within 5 minutes the nurse called us in.

When she took us into the room she advised us that they would not be able to see us on the NHS and we would need to go privately. We asked what was the reason behind this and why wasn’t we advised before. My husband and I don’t have any children and we are TTC our first child. They said we don’t fall into the area of getting <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">fertility treatment</a> on the NHS. This was absolutely heartbreaking. We asking if we paid at that point could we be seen the lady said no we would need to start again front the beginning.

Is anyone here from the East Midlands who can advise a good fertility clinic?

We are currently awaiting my husband semen analysis appointment and we will then be going to the clinic.
