Marginal placenta previa?

Has anyone had what they call marginal placenta previa? I found out yesterday at my anatomy scan that that's what I have. They'll do a repeat ultrasound at 28 weeks to see if it's moved away from my cervix at all. Has anyone had this and it not move and still be able to deliver vaginally since it's not completely covering the cervix?

I was diagnosed with marginal previa at 20 weeks. I had my follow up appointment today at 29 weeks. My placenta went from being within 2cm of the cervial opening to right next to the cervical opening. Unfortunately in my case it moved closer. The midwife is still hopeful that it can move, but research is showing that the chances of moving now are slim-to-none. I’ll have one more follow up ultrasound at 36 weeks (July 17th). I would like to be hopeful but I’m a realist. From what I was told, it is very rare for it to not move or move closer. Chances are you’ll be fine, but I was the unlucky rare case.

It is completely common and normal that early. The almost always move up. 
The uterus is still growing which means the placenta only has one option; move with it. 
I had it with my third baby at our 20 week scan and it moved by 24 weeks.

At 20 weeks mine was right beside the cervix opening now at 27 weeks hasn’t moved at all :(

If it doesn't move up & you give birth vaginally, you could bleed out. It's a danger to you & your baby. If it doesn't not move up , they'll schedule you for a c section

Thanks guys. I'm hopeful that it will move up at least far enough for a natural delivery. The next 10 weeks will go super slow I'm sure though while having to wait for the ultrasound to find out what's going on.
