Breast Pump?

I have heard different answers and am curious about others. Did your Dr prescribe a breast pump for you or did you buy your own? I have good health insurance. What did you guys do?

The one prescribed buy the doctor has better suction. Its great for the first month to establish a milk freezer stash. But not great when you are exclusively pumping. Since you can’t take it with you when you travel. I couldn’t get my son to latch the first month so I needed a travel size one for when I was out with baby during the day.

Call you health insurance.  They’re required to provide you with one.  It’ll prob be through a third party vendor.  Once you fill out the request form, they’ll contact your insurance company for approval and possibly your doctor to confirm pregnancy.  Once confirmed it’ll be shipped to your house.
