No it’s a commitment to my spouse. It’s a commitment I went before god and announced. It’s important to me.

I feel my significant other and I are deeply committed to one another and don’t need a piece of paper for us or anyone else. I’m not opposed to others getting legally married, I just believe it wouldn’t change anything for us personally 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yeah kind of. We don't have to be married to have that commitment to each other. Getting married won't change that.

A piece of paper that comes with legal benefits. It means more than just paper to those who are married. To some, taking the extra step to legalize the committed relationship means something. Especially if there is a ceremony involved. I don’t think I want to get married, but I do see it as more than just a piece of paper.

I honestly don't understand the concept if marriage. It's always baffled me. I'm not saying it's not an important committment or anything. I just. Don't understand? Everyone else seems to though so I guess I'm special.

Yes to me it is. I am as commited to my partner as I would be if tomorrow we went to the court house and got married. If in the future it would benefit us to get married (insurance,taxes etc) then we would do it but right now we don't see the point.

Marriage is a business so essentially yes. You can commit and have a great relationship with or without legally getting married.

While I believe you can make a commitment without being married, I do think it’s more than a piece of paper. Marriage has been my greatest blessing. The commitment and respect was always there but it was solidified when we said I do!
