Birth Control?

Anyone have any opinions on the birth control shot?! i definitely am not going to do the iud or implant after giving birth just bc i’ve heard soooooo many horror stories & the pill makes me sick & i always forget to take it, so i feel like the shot is my only other option.

The first time I was on Depo I didn’t really have any issues minus getting pregnant on it despite being in the middle of a shot rotation. The second time I bled heavy for 6m and It made me gain weight. I’m never going back.

My sister took a tour of birth control options. Here’s her rundown:
Shot : gained weight and got migraines
Patch : gained weight and got rashes
IUD : hurt like a mofo going in and replacing. Cramping for about a week after. Now she’s in love. No weight gain, headaches, or rashes. Nothing to remember.

The iud actually isn’t that bad I’ve heard more bad about the shot than the iud. I had an iud after my first never had any issues once I had it removed I was pregnant the following month with our second. I’ll be getting another iud after this baby.

I was on depo for 4 years, it took me 2 years to get a period and 1 year of cycle to get pregnant. Depo completely took away my sex drive, I was legit annoyed by my husband touching me and couldn't get "wet" or even turned on. The up side was I didn't get a period and didn't get pregnant while on it, at the time of depo we didn't have the means for a child.
