Induced or no!?

I’m a FTM..My Dr will be on vacation the week I’m due so I can be induced the week before and know she will deliver or wait and go on my mine and chance her delivering my baby. No big deal if she’s not the delivering dr bc everyone in the office is great. But I don’t know which route to go with. Induce or not to induce?

I don’t see any reason to be induced  if you are not past due date and there is no medical reason to do it early 😊

I wouldn’t unless medically necessary. If you’re comfortable with the other doctors, then there isn’t really any need to induce when your body isn’t ready.

Let your body do its thing. No reason to induce unless medically necessary. Plus the likelyhood of having a c section after inducing is 3 times higher (bc your body wasn't ready yet).

I absolutely would not induce unless medically necessary. I had a lot of intervention with my first, and it was a much more difficult and unpleasant labor than I had with my twins a few years later, who came naturally. 
With the twins, I was up and walking around listening to praise music between contractions. With my oldest, I was stuck in bed and the contractions had no break, it was like one steady contraction. My face looks like an overripe tomato a about to pop. 
My friend's daughter give birth last month. She has been doing all of the crazy home stuff to try to trigger labor, plus has her membranes swept, then was induced. She ended up in labor for like 24 hours. Her body just was not ready, and I truly believe that it would have been eaiser on her if she has just given it time to progress.

When I was pregnant with my son, my doctor was going on vacation as well and gave me the same exact option. I waited and ended up having to be induced anyways after he got back from vacation because my boy was being stubborn (lol) and then came to the same option when I was pregnant with my daughter and I took the early eviction notice to get her out a week after my appointment. I had gestational diabetes so I didn’t wanna wait (she could’ve been born stillborn had I waited). I don’t regret having her early.
