Suboptimal Ultrasound at 27wks
Hey ladies, I was at my OB yesterday and had a follow up scan due to them not getting everything in my anatomy scan. We learned that my baby has gone from large at the 19wk mark to only gaining 9oz since. I’m 27wks and baby only weighs 1lb 10oz. Currently in the 5% for growth where I’m told healthy babies should be 10% and above. He has suboptimal growth of his left hand which was apparently first spotted at my 19wks ultrasound because my report says “remains suboptimal”, suboptimal ductus venosus or absence of ductus venosus (the tech couldn’t seem to get the vessel to show), and suboptimal notching. My amniotic fluid is good, movement/practice breathing/etc is fantastic, all other anatomy presenting normally. Has anyone had similar results? What did your OB recommend? My OB wants to do a follow up scan in a week or two to see if he’s growing or not before we discuss anything further. She said to go ahead and prepare that baby may need to be delivered fairly early. Other than that, no other info was really given so I’m looking for some real life stories here. Thanks ❤️
