“Military Spouses are also military”

So I saw this little gem on twitter and it erupted into the exact flavor of shitstorm you would expect. I know how Twitter feels, but there are a lot of military spouses on here and was wondering how the Glow population sees it.

For the record, I am a military spouse who has endured more than 36 months of my husband deployed over the past 5 years, and I think this is utter horseshit. Not only are spouses not military (how silly), but the level of sacrifice isn’t the same. Families make sacrifices, surely. But I don’t miss my children’s milestones, family members deaths, put myself in harms way, or endure the trauma my husband does and has.

Just had to throw that out there so no one comes at me sideways 😂
