I need advice

What do you do when you get told cps might become involved basically immediately after you give birth.

Back in November I was assaulted by my child’s father. We were both on drugs at the time, and because of that I was told cps might get involved right away once the baby is born. I’ve been clean since I found out I was pregnant, and I’m 33 wks rn.

His father and I are on good terms now because he wants to be a part of the baby’s life, and I told him he can’t be around unless he’s clean too.

He’s agreed to take weekly drug tests to prove it, so that gives me hope.

I’m just scared that cps might try to take my baby because of my history. Or they might try to make it to where his dad can’t see him and I don’t want that either.

I know right now both of us are clean and in good places, both of us have jobs and are stable. So part of me thinks I’m just being paranoid.
