When to move on to IVF

When did you know it was the right time to move to IVF after TTC naturally or IUI?

We sought out assistance after 2 MC back to back. We went with the RE suggestion of trying IUI first since all the tests my husband and I went through came back normal. After 2 unsuccessful iui, we decided to go on the schedule for IVF, but since it was 6 weeks away we tried IUI 1 more time. Again, it was unsuccessful so my RE recommended we try IVF. We were successful with the first cycle and I am currently 9w+2

After our third failed IUI it was time to move on. Will be starting stims next week

For us it is about our age. We have tried for 18 months after a tubal reversal with no success and I wish I wouldn't have waited this long. I am 39 and IVF success rates really decline the older a woman is. We have our consult Wednesday. We are very excited! Good luck to you

Just saw my RE today after failed IUI#2. He told me that since I have quite some time on my side, he is supportive of more iui attempts than the usual 3... He said he had a patient who was in her early 30s like me who got a bfp after iui#9. Good luck to us!

Once we had all the rounds of clomid we were allowed to and reached the 3 year threshold to qualify for IVF on the NHS in the UK
