i’m 17 years old and im getting induced tomorrow night, does my mom need to come to the hospital with me? i honestly don’t want her there, but im not sure if she needs to sign consents or anything. thanks!

No she doesn’t have to be, but I’m going to be honest you will probably want someone there it does not have to be your mom, but I spent the first few hours by myself before my bf could get there and it was torture being alone. Good luck!

Where I work, yes. A parent or legal guardian must be there to sign your paperwork. However they do not have to stay. Once baby is there you can sign all of the paperwork in regards for baby’s care. Its silly but just because you’re pregnant doesn’t make you a legal adult that can sign your consents.

No. You don't have to let her in the room woth you if you don't want her there. Having negative people around while you are in labor / being induced is definitely not going to be a fun experience.
