Clots, bleeding

Are clots after a BM normal? I had a bm which was hard to pass and it felt like I ripped my A hole I wiped my Butt first and saw blood like dark red with two clots, saw some blood in toilet . Wiped but again and it was still blood, then I wiped my Vagina and it was nothing just discharge . 30 mins later I go to check & wiped my butt and it was a small swear of blood I had to squint. It was just a lot on the tissue so I called my ob and he said it’s normal just drink water and take colace. I had to poop this morning but didn’t have time cause I had to go to work so I held it in from 8 to about 1130. Anybody bled after a BM??
