Breastfeeding & still no period?

So my baby girl will be 10 months old on June 18, less than 2 weeks away, and aside from those first few weeks of post vaginal delivery bleeding, I haven’t gotten my period! Is it normal to go nearly 10 months no period while breastfeeding? I haven’t even spotted once I healed from giving birth. I assume I haven’t gotten it yet because I’m still breastfeeding, but most of my friends breastfed just as long or longer than I am currently and got their regular monthly cycles back by month 3 or 4 post partum
