Being induced, what can I expect?

Hi ladies,
I just got back from my OB’s and I am being induced on Tuesday. I am a FTM and have no idea what to expect. My doctor quickly explained the process to me, but I’m wondering if any of your would be able to share your experiences?

For me it was painful and long process, 18 hours. I was induced at 40 +1 weeks with my first. 
How far along are you?

My induction was 40 hours total. It might take a long time, might not. I started off not dilated or showing any signs of being close to ready. It was also pretty painful (pitocin contractions). Just be prepared that it could potentially take a while. And they probably won’t let you eat at all.

I was induced with my first at 41 weeks went in at the time they gave me got changed signed paperwork got my iv fluids they inserted medication to help my cervix along. Eventually I started pitocin by 3-4 cm got my epidural. Was in labor 30 hours pushed 55min. It was a very very long process for me. Rest when you can as much as you can unless it’s a faster process for you.

Everyone copes different when being induced. Depends how quick they put the pitocin level up. Some people cope well others don't needing pain relief. Its painful either way but try keep calm and breath you can do this your strong and your going to be absolutely fine just listen to your body good luck

Because they are forcing your body into labour the pain can be more intense. My friends who had them all eventually had epidural.

It wasn’t too bad . I’m a FTM as well. Got induced 3 days late due to low fluids but they induced me with a pill vaginally .. they hooked me up to an IV and just let it take its course . I opted for an epidural at 4cm and went from a 4 to 8 within an hour after that since my body could finally relax. Labor overall was about 12 hours for me.
Pushed for about an hour . 😊. You got it mama 👏🏼

U go in at a certain time they give u.. they hook you up to iv wirh fluids and the medicine to get your contractions started and a monitor around your stomach to keep an eye on contractions and babys hear beat. And thel come and check u ervry so often to make sure your progressing.
