My best friend is pregnant. I’m pregnant too, so both of us are very excited.

She was dating a guy who she had 7 years of back history with. He was my husband’s best friend for years, and mine as well but unfortunately has turned to drugs and alcohol and we just don’t see him anymore. He does cocaine every hour he is awake, and gets drunk by himself every night. He has gotten sober, and then started dating my best friend again and will relapse with the drugs and alcohol and dump her. It’s been a cycle for the past year. She has decided she’s done. She’s not allowing him back in her life. He was verbally abusive towards her, and has a very hot temper.

She doesn’t know if she should tell him or not. My husband says not to, because he’s so unsupportive, I am kind of leaning the same way but she feels torn. What would you do?
