Burning nipples?

Has anyone else experienced burning/throbbing nipples?  First time in the pool this summer and my nipples were hurting so bad!  Is this normal??

I am having the same problem! My nipples have been extremely sensitive since week 5/6, and they have started to get even worse over the past month (week 13+). For me, the sensation is almost like they are chaffing even when I’m wearing the most comfortable bra. It is at it’s worst anytime I get cold and the nipples harden. I tried lotions and oils, but strangely the best results I’ve had at subduing the pain is by applying a good, moisturizing lip balm to my nipples and areola when they hurt the most. I have a meeting with my midwife this week and I plan to ask for suggestions. I’m sorry that you are going through this as well! It is such a frustrating problem — at least it’s comforting to know that we’re not alone.
