Would you?

Okay, so long story short... kind of... I live about 5/6 hours away from my family. We frequently go back and forth for short visits. Anyway, I found of the gender of my sweet baby this past Tuesday & planned on getting my close family (mom and little sisters) and my husbands mom, dad and sisters together for a small low key gender reveal. Anyway, my mom first said she had to check her schedule (I asked over a month in advance) because work was very busy- which I understand... then after a few weeks, I asked her again. She stated that someone from church had invited her to her daughters graduation party & she rsvp she would go. She stated that she missed this particular persons party before and felt bad if she didn’t attend... but said “if you really want me there I can tell her I can’t make it”. Anyway, I asked her and my sisters again because I really wanted both of our families there & she sent me a message saying “I just want to find out tomorrow after your appointment. I’m just really tired.. and don’t have energy to drive.. I haven’t been this tired since my divorce” ... her divorce was 10 years ago & my sister who would be coming with her is 24 and can drive ... I felt upset... but tried not to let it get to me... I didn’t want to tell anyone at that point, but she kept begging me after my appointment about the gender & I gave in because I couldn’t take the pressure. I cancelled the reveal & she ended up going to that party yesterday...

Would you be upset... or am I just overly emotional?
