39 weeks! Unplanned induction and emergency c section
Woke up Friday morning out of my sleep in pain! I thought they were stomach cramps from gas so I hopped up and ran to the bathroom. After sitting there I noticed it wasn’t gas so I went to lay back down. After laying down for a while I continued to cramp so I decided to bound on my ball for relief. While bouncing I felt wet and decided to go check. Big blood clots! So I wake up my husband and tell him I think it’s the day and we’re goi g to the hospital!
I start to get things for my dogs ready lol and my husband is looking at me and screaming babe what are you doing you have to get ready (I swear he was more nervous than me) so I get in the shower and get our last things together. We get to the hospital around 6am and after checking my bp they notice it was high and ask has it been high my entire pregnancy (nope, already regular) so they check a few more times and it’s still high so I’m admitted! I was checked around 7am and I was 1cm dilated and lost my musics plug right after the check. By 10am I was at 2cm! I tried to weather those contractions but I couldn’t and was given an epidural and then oxytocin to help get more contractions going (at this time is didn’t realize I was being induced🤦🏾♀️) i was given the epidural so early because my bp was 151/96 which I have NEVER seen before. By 9pm I was 3cm and my water had broken. I was dilated about 1 cm every 4 hours by Saturday and we projected I would deliver him around 5PM. Well things started to turn! I began to get high temp readings, o my half of my cervix would thing and I went from a wimping 8cm back down to 6cm😩😩😢
The new OB o the clock decided we two c section! I was so nervous and threw up immediately lol. Well I needed to do what was best for my family so me and hubby talked, called out parents and went into surgery whitin 30 minutes! Once in there I could hear the OB saying “poor baby” come to find out he pooped in there, wasn’t fully engaged because my pelvic was too narrow and he was stuck! So he was never coming out vaginally anyway lol!
Matthew A Estrada was born 6/8/19 10:39pm at 7lbs 2.8 ounces and 19inches long. We are so 😍
