Induction experience?

I plan on being induced once I get to that point (It’s gonna be a hot minute I’ve still got 11ish weeks😬😂) but I wanted to see how it went for everyone and sort of know what to expect as far as the induction goes

I just had an induction 3 weeks ago! I went in and was already dilated to a 2 and 55% effaced and it was my first baby so I have no idea what contractions without pitocin feel like but like the lady above said “pitocin contractions suck” HOLY CRAP I lasted about 30 minutes after my contractions started until I started crying and gave in on the epidural. EPIDURAL is god sent!! I was in active labor for about 20 hours and my delivery went amazing! 7 pushes in only 28 minutes my sweet girl was born and I didn’t even have a perineal year, just a small one inside that she “didn’t even want to call a tear!” I suggest you do not have an induction if you are not effaced or dilated at all because most of the time those will end up C section. Pitocin contractions suck balls. 
I wouldn't choose it unless absolutely necessary. Unfortunately I had no choice as all 4 of my pregnancies were high risk or had other issues. #3 and #4 my inductions failed and I ended up in c sections. If you're not dilated or effaced, there's a higher chance of failure vs your body is already more ready.

I actually wanted to get an Induction. I was 39 weeks when I got induced. It started Sunday at around 9:30pm when they started me on medication to get started. I was 0cm dilated and 0% effaced. Nothing really changed until early Monday morning I started to finally dilate but still wasn't much. Nothing really changed much until early Tuesday morning probably around 2am my water broke. They were gonna break my water in a few hours if it didn't break on it's own. Around 5am I was only 5cm dilated. Then around 7:40am I started to really feel pressure and they checked me and I was 100% effaced and 9.5cm dilated. Soon after I started pushing and my daughter was born at 8:37am on Tuesday.

I was induced at 38 weeks cause I had preeclampsia.  This was my first baby so the doctors and midwives were all preparing me that this is process was probably going to be a while, that we wont see him the same day. Ect. So I was prepared to labor for a long time. 
I got induced at 7am, and had him at 11:27am that same day. I didnt find the contractions unbearable till I was 8 almost 9cm, it was pretty easy to breath though them. The only thing that I found SUPER uncomfortable was the intense need to poop. I hated that feeling.  Only pushed for 27 minutes, and needed one stitch. 
When I tell people that they always say I'm lucky. But I have nothing to compare it too so im not sure if I'm lucky or not. 🤷🏻‍♀️😅

I was induced due to gestational diabetes at 38 weeks. I really wasn’t happy about it initially but it turned out really great for me. They started pitocin at 8(I was already 3 cm) and I had her 12 hours later. The contractions didn’t hurt until they broke my water. I definitely needed an epidural, but I was planning on having a natural birth anyways.

Anyway, this is my story. My daughter is now 10 months old ❤️ i was given a gel 6pm Monday night because I was rock solid at 40 +4 week. They monitored me for an hour and sent me home. I went back to the hospital 8am Tuesday to check for an progress. I was 1cm 😏 they inserted a gel called cervidil (?) at 9am and monitored for an hour and then told to come back at 6pm if I didn’t feel labor coming on. So my husband and I left the hospital at 10am and on the way to the mall to walk around my water broke, in the car. We left the hospital 7 minutes ago lol unfortunately induction contractions are awful. They went from mild cramps to intense can’t walk, keep eyes closed in about 5 minutes. They monitored me for another 20 minutes and my contractions were honestly 30 seconds apart. The joys of being induced. Thankfully I didn’t need any IV meds to kick start labor. I was admitted around 11am and had my daughter at 9:18pm. Got the epidural about 20 mins after checking into the hospital lol I was only 2cm but with induction contractions, you don’t get the chance to slowly ramp up.

I don't know how to compare it to natural labor since it was my first baby. But the labor lasted about 24 hours. I was a day shy of 39 weeks. They gave me cervadil to ripen my cervix some more. And I was actually borderline of needing pitocin at that point, but they gave it to me anyway. That was in the evening. By 11pm I got an epidural. Around 3am my water broke. By the afternoon, I was fully dilated and pushing. Then I contracted an infection in my amniotic fluid, since my water broke over 12 hours ago and I was on antibiotics during the labor. I pushed for 4 straight hours and her head was crowning but she would not get any closer to coming out, despite the top of her head being clearly visible. I ended up getting a c-section because her heart rate started to drop. In the end, all was good and we were healthy. Not sure how much of my experience was due to the induction, but this was a short version of how my labor induction went. This was over a year ago, so I don't remember much more than that.

I was induced at 39weeks. I was 0cm and not contracting at all. I was scheduled for a Friday induction but they had me come in Thursday at 530 pm since they knew it might take awhile to dilate me. 
I was given a pill orally and then every hour or 2 vaginally. By 6am i was almost 2cm. Next pitocin and a foly cathidor balloon was inserted. I was in pain bad so i asked for IV pain meds. I passed out for about an hour. By 1230 i was 5/6 cm. They went in to break my water and because i had so much extra fluid i also had a prolapsed cord. My midwife and nurse were screaming to page everyone. I had her entire arm shoved up my vagina while they flipped me on all 4s to stop babies head from pressing against the cord. They wheeled me while running to the OR for an emergency csection to save the baby. I don’t remember anything after yelling in pain. 
I had it set in my head i would go in, have some meds, start Labor, and have a baby. I didn’t expect things to get crazy
