(UPDATED!)Wow! Wasn't expecting that..

Kk 💀

This is vulnerability.

My husband and I have been struggling financially for quite some time now. My husband works 40+ hours a week and is always doing some type of side job after work and on the weekends to help support our family, he never stops or complains. But this month hit us hard with bills. We were completely broke by the second week of this month and running out of food, I ate butter toast for lunch for days, whatever money we had went to food for our daughter (because our baby comes first) and gas so my husband could get to work. Today he reached out on Facebook to ask if there were any food banks in our area because we were desperate. The outcomes of this request wasn't what we expected. My husband got messages from lots of people in our little town saying the had food to give us, offered to take us shopping, ect. We were blown away. At the end of the day we ended up with boxes of food people donated, a nice man met us at king soopers and insisted on going inside and filling up a cart of what we needed and paid for it all, refusing anything in return, also was gifted gifts cards to a couples places.

Admitting you're in financial trouble is hard, it hits the pride, and publicly asking for help is vulnerability at best. My husband and I weren't expecting this much support and seeing this outpour of kindness showed me just how much good is in this world. One day, when we can, we will pay it forward. That's all that was asked of us ❤

I did not expect this to get to much attention! Thank you everyone for all your kind words ❤ I really appreciate it. I'm trying to reply to everyone's comments!
