Pride flag flown at state capital in Michigan

It's simple to me, only the American flag and the state flag should be flown at the capital. This feels like a stunt by the new Governor to gain popularity among LGBTQ voters.

Any homophobic or hateful comments will be removed, this discussion is about a flag representing one group of people, being flown at a government building that represents every citizen of Michigan.

Is it discrimination to fly this flag?

If you're LGBTQ is this progress in the right direction or a strategic move by the governor without any real action in support of the cause?
