Do you feel financially ready to have a baby?

Just curious. I’ve been listening to some budgeting podcasts and redoing our budget now that I won’t be working anymore and I’m definitely not feeling ready. We’ve had a lot of unexpected expenses come up in the last few months (like my car AC going out and more). Actually sitting down and budgeting is making everything a lot more real.

I feel like we are. We are for sure financially stable but I'm terrified of the new bill of daycafe which will be like 650 a month. I calculated it with all of our bills and no we can afford it. We just have to make some lifestyle changes, me and husband tend to spend without thinking.

I feel pretty confident, expect for I would like to have a little bit more saved up for the unexpected cause I know there’s gonna be a few of those. But we also really need a new car so it’s probably gonna be awhile before we get our savings were we’d like it.

We sat down with a financial advisor and we have no idea how we’re gonna afford me being off work except taking out a personal loan. Still have no clue about child care or what I’m going to do for work after. My current job we decided is too far away and just not practical with a baby.
