my boyfriend and I are 19, have been dating for 6 months, and sexually active for four. We are like best friends, and get along great with each other’s friends and families. The sex is good, and we care for each other a ton. I feel like we could maybe be together for the long haul. I know this maybe sounds naive since we are so young, but we have very similar upbringings and morals and values about life.

I’m really eager for him to say I love you though!! It’s been nearly 7 months. I like to tell myself that the reason it’s been taking a while is because what we have is real and could last so there is no need to rush it, but it’s hard to know that in other relationships they say I love you so much sooner.

I personally am teady to say I love you, and it almost slips out like once a week. but I really want him to say it first. I don’t know why, I just do.

So what do you guys think? Why hasn’t he said it yet? How long is too long before he says it?
