Newborn or 0-3 months??

Question

So I've been buying clothes here and there and I've bought 6 NB onesies and a couple NB pants. Now I'm thinking why buy NB since 0-3 months will fit him once he's born and for longer. Now I'm questioning if he will even fit in the NB since he's already measuring bigger and I think he's going to be tall like his daddy. How many Mama's out there are buying some NB and do you think it's worth it? I feel like I wasted money.

Thanks ladies!! Everyone keeps telling me my son will be big and wouldn't fit in NB clothes. With my daughter she was 6 pounds 13 oz so she was able to wear NB size for a while.

I was really big when I was pregnant and everyone told me he’s been massive! He weighed 7lbs 4oz and we bought newborn and 0-3 months. Newborn was too big for him and we had to go and get first size. He’s now 13 weeks and just fitting into 0-3 months. I’d get some first size stuff as well just incase

I have in totally about 10-15 newborn onesies/outfits and the rest are 0-3, 3, 3-6 and all bigger. Babies grow fast but not too fast. And it’s always okay to reuse the onesie(that’s what I always forget lol). 0-3 May be big on em for a while but it’s better to have loose fitting that tight!

Newborn diapers and clothes didn’t fit either of my boys when they were born. My girls they did. My oldest some wore 0-3 for a week and by his 6 week picture last he was in a 6 month outfit. He was 10.1 at birth. Even the hat they gave him was too small. My other son was 9.5 and only had them on for about 2 weeks.

I would buy both honestly, my fiancé and I bought a mix of both and then we got mostly 0-3 for our baby shower so we were glad we bought newborn whenever we first started buying clothes!

Even the newborn clothes were a little too big for my baby. Every baby is different. You won’t really know what size is best until you have the baby. On the other hand my friends baby was too big for newborn clothes. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Even tho my boys were bigger.
(I think they were wrong with my 2nds weight cause he was in preemie for 2 weeks and in newborn until he was 2.5 months) 
But i have a fair amount of newborn for this baby, as newborn is fairly smaller than 0-3, and some babies are born fitting 0-3 some also dont fit it for awhile. Its never a bad idea to have some newborn just incase.(even if baby is measuring ahead cause they can be wrong)

Just get 0-3 from now on and if the baby needs more new born you can get it once theyre born.   My aon was in newborn for just over a month but some babies never wear it

They have no true idea how big babies will be. It’s all estimate. They thought my daughter was 4 pounds at 37 weeks and she was six pounds.
