Baby nightmares???

Has anyone else’s little one started screaming their head off while still asleep? My son usually sleeps about 6-7 hours straight at night with no problems but has recently started having these weird screaming fits until I basically have to “slap” him (more of a repeated pat on the cheek) awake. Sometimes I’m able to rock him and calm him down and other times I have to physically get up and try to make a bottle while he’s physically fighting me (kicking, pushing/punching, etc) because he won’t let me put him down (he’s 3 months).
