Did anyone who has UnitedHealthcare insurance get the blood test that checks for chromosomal abnormalities (and determines gender) and UHC cover it? I currently have UHC and was given a pamphlet around 8 weeks about the Panorama NIPT test and it stated that UHC covered it. Fast forward several weeks after we did the test to getting a bill for $3,900 when we were told it would not cost us more than $300. How can they advertise that this specific test is covered through UHC insurance and then all of the sudden it’s not and you owe nearly $4,000 for the test?!

I’m so pissed and wondering if anyone else had this same test and UHC covered it for them.
