Upcoming separation?

Both me and my boyfriend of one year are going away for college. While I’m going to Boston he’s going to Florida... and every time I ask him about what’s gonna happen to us, he never answers. What do I do? Wait for the last moment? Or don’t mention it again?

Girl, I FEEL you so much it hurts (but I’m actually, sadly, more like your boyfriend). I am moving to Wisconsin and my boy is staying in Kansas, and every time he asks me about what’s going to happen, I try to avoid it. I don’t avoid it because i don’t think it’ll work, but because I’m afraid he doesn’t think it will work (if that makes sense) and I’m afraid he’s going to call the whole relationship off. However, we had a really deep, meaningful conversation about it after we both finally realized it needed to be addressed. 
I would say don’t push the issue. Don’t bring it up every day, or even every week. But maybe if you’re talking and the subject comes up about moving, bring it up slowly and calmly. Even if he doesn’t say anything, you can at least let him know how you feel and maybe he can meditate on that until he’s ready to talk.
