i broke up with a guy last year because i saw a future with him and was afraid to commit to a lifelong relationship at a young age. it made him severely depressed and suicidal. he and i still like each other, and he told me he needs time to think. i totally respect his choice, but i’m worried he’ll say no because he’s afraid it’ll end the way it did last time. i’m more mature now and i feel like i can handle a longer commitment, but i don’t want to make it all about me
