Spectra s1 or s2?

Why do you prefer one over the other?

I didn’t always have access to a plug since I travel to clients homes for work and would often pump in my car between appointments. If you’re going to be at home or consistently somewhere at work with a plug then there’s really no reason for the upgrade.

If you’re a SAHM, then the S2 should be perfectly adequate. If, however, they’re both covered by your insurance or if you’re planning to go back to work and you might need to pump without being constantly plugged into an outlet, or if you already have another toddler at home who requires your attention 24/7, then the S1 is worth the upgrade. I am a SAHM and I paid for the S1 upgrade because I wanted to be able to take it in the car and move around the house, but I can honestly say I never used it unless I was sitting in my comfortable glider chair at my “pumping station”, so it wasn’t really worth the upgrade in my experience. I’m still happy I have it, though, because Im sure I’ll appreciate the versatility it for #2.

S1 has been totally worth the upgrade fee I had to pay from what my insurance would cover. It's often plugged in in my normal pumping spot, but it's nice being able to easily go in another room when we have company or in the car or the campsite or the beach. I would be miserable having to find an outlet each time.

I got the one that was provided free by my insurance which was the s2. The only difference is that the s2 has to be plugged into an outlet and the s1 has a rechargeable battery. So if you’ll be using it without easy access to a plug then the s1 is better. I always have easy enough access to a plug since we have an adapter in our car and I usually pump at home or in the car so I am perfectly happy with my s2!
