Does anyone have this pack n play

Question

Silly question. I know the bassinet is in the top photo with the stars above it. But when does baby use the mat in the second photo? When he outgrows the top bassinet?

I believe the mat is the bassinet...the changer is just next to it. Once you take out the changer it’s just a large mat. By the looks of it the stars is attached the changer? I think you can put it the opposite way as well.

From the looks of it, the “bassinet” in the top picture next to the changing pad isn’t something I’d ever put my baby in to sleep because it doesn’t have mesh all the way around it, so your baby could potentially die from Co2 rebreathing if he gets too close to the sides. It might be an okay place to put your baby down if you’re supervising like a hawk the whole time, but not for sleeping/naps. My son wasn’t officially rolling until around 3 months, but he was easily able to scoot around his bassinet by the time he was only a week old and I can’t tell you how many times I found him with his face completely smashed up against the sides of his mesh bassinet, even though we swaddled him tightly using a Halo swaddle every night. 
The bottom picture shows the appropriate bassinet, which I’d use immediately from birth because it has mesh sides all the way around.

I have a similar one. The changer clicks in. There’s a pad that sits in the bassinet. The bassinet hangs on the bars on the pack and play. The changing thing clicks on and off easily. Once the baby can pull themselves up you take off the bassinet and put the mat down on the bottom of the play yard.

My friend has this! Not sure what it's for, but she was saying it was for when she's little so you don't have to lean all the way in for her to take a nap, but only until they begin to roll over. Once they can roll over, it's dangerous because they could fall out.
Don't harass me if I'm wrong, this is what she uses it for. Also she uses it as a changing table as well.

I have one similar. My baby only fit in the top bassinet part for about a month or so, and I had to lower him (take out that top mat) around 6 months when he started sitting up on his own.

I have one just like this. I loved that it had a bassinet.. if you take off the changing table it's just the bassinet part. But i personally never used the changing piece, i lay him on the couch or bed.

I think the second photo is for when they are getting a lil too long for the first bassinet but still not sitting up yet .
