Just trying to get some ideas here...my sister is due 2 weeks before I am with a girl and I’m having a boy. She was planning on doing her baby shower on July 13th and I was planning on having mine the 20th. Should we just do a joint baby shower or each have our own? I wouldn’t expect guests to come to both seeing how they’re only a week apart but at the same time I want this baby celebrated like my first was. I don’t necessarily need gifts because I have everything I need for baby, so I don’t want people to feel obligated to bring two gifts. For me, it’s more of a time to get together and celebrate the new baby while seeing people I hardly ever get to see. In my head it would be easier to throw a joint shower because we share family and each of us don’t have a big friends circle. But I kind of want my own day. I just want opinions on what to do. If you were invited to two baby showers only a week apart, would you go? Or would you rather there just be one?
