How many maternity pads should I buy?

Question

So I’ve recently bought 3 packs of 10 mat pads. I’m now worried that’s not enough? I’d like at least a weeks worth to save hubby the trip if I run out. Should I buy more?

Go with 6 packs, boots normally do 3 for 2,  can always go and pick up more at a later date,

I got two packs of 10 from boots which have last nicely with some always night pads ( size 10 ) also pack of size 2 which I’m using now after a week pp as it’s not too heavy now :)

Everyone is different, I personally never needed the extra thick bulky ones but had three boxes so gave them to friends. I had a c section so tend to bleed less as they scoop a lot out I guess. Though I bked for the full six weeks it's was always so light that after a couple weeks thin panty liners were fine. I ended up using the bulky ones stuck on as a cushion for my c section scar inatead

I brought a pack but never used them as they just looked so bulky and uncomfortable, I just used night-time sanitary towels and doubled up at night so it wouldn't leak down my butt crack.

The first few days you'll double up, by overlapping either side of knickers. Midwives will recommend doing that as the flow will be heavy. And you wont leak, down legs... but make sure to put a towel down on the couch or/and the car as I leaked down my ass crack a good few times when sitting down....dont ask me how lol. Changed so many times because of that.
Asdas do a nice comfy own brand of maternity pads... not the smart price ones, next ones up from that.
I'd probably start with 5/8 packs, you'll probably be changing every hour or 2. Id put 2 packs in your hospital bag btw...I found my normal sanitary pads just didnt cope well with the flow. Didnt stop until 5 weeks pp.
Wasnt until my 3rd period pp so by 8 months pp I was back to my normal flow. First and second period after birth I was bleeding heavily and had to change every hour.
