When did you tell your parents you were pregnant

I told my mom a week after I found out. I was going to wait until 2nd trimester, but ultimately I decided that her love and support would be needed in any scenario that could happen. I hate that women feel like they can’t tell close family members for fear of a miscarriage. Having a support system through difficult times is just as important as having them through the good times. ❤️

Told my mother in law and father in law at 4 and a half weeks, a few days after the positive test. We’ve been trying to conceive for years and this is the closest we’ve been. Plus mum in law is a nurse so I wanted some advice and also know that if things went pear shaped that they’d understand. Where as I didn’t tell my own family until the scan where we saw the heartbeat because I know they’d stress me out more if something went wrong. Each to their own I say 😁
