I'm 17 weeks and I want to get an epidural when I go into labor because of my anxiety, I dont want to get overwhelmed by the pain and not be able to enjoy my labor.

My mother in law had 3 kids with no epidural and both of my sister in laws had their babies without epidural. They're all acting like I'm such a pansy and that I'm practically going to be drugging my child. They keep insisting that if I "drug" my son by getting the epidural and "taking the chance if killing him" theyll never forgive me and would even consider trying to get custody of him.

What do I say? My fiance tells them to stop but they dont care.
