Thoughts on being induced

So I’ll be 39 weeks tomorrow, long story short my doctor told me last week that she would be willing induce me on my due date (July 2nd) if nothing has happened by then.

Reason being is I have not been at my job for a year so I only get 6 weeks off with her, so of course I’m working up until I have her to get the full 6 weeks with her.

My question is what should I expect if I end up getting induced? Worse labor? Longer labor? Does it make a difference? I’m pretty miserable working still but don’t want to make my first labor experience worse by not letting it happen naturally.

(I was 1/1/2 CM, 70% effaced last Tuesday, lost pretty big part of mucous plugs 2 weeks ago but no bloody show.. significant Braxton Hicks and pelvic pressure/pain but that’s about it.. hoping to hear I’ve made progress at my appointment tomorrow)
