28 weeks, exercise help!

I’m 28 weeks today, and I want to start working out. Before my pregnancy I worked out, but I wouldn’t say I had a routine or a certain goal, I just worked out for the sake of getting more active and having a hobby. Once I found out I was pregnant I did some prenatal workouts from an app that customized your workouts by week. It was great, but I got really lazy with it and stopped around 12 or 13 weeks.

Even though I’m in my third trimester, I want to start working out again, i miss feeling good about myself, I miss having that hobby and alone time and I’m hoping it will help with delivery and postpartum. I plan on talking to my midwifes about it at my next appointment but I wanted to see what you ladies do!

Has anyone started a work out routine during pregnancy when they didn’t really have one before?

Did it help you with delivery/recovery?

Did it help your energy levels or your mood?

Was it too much, should I just wait until after the baby is born?
